Nursing positions are available in a variety of settings including acute, community and long term care. Some nurses receive additional education and training in order to work in areas such as occupational health, public health, palliative care, critical/intensive care, renal health, to name a few.

The Manitoba government also hires nurses (RNs, NPs, RPNs and LPNs) in the Provincial Correctional Centres, Selkirk Mental Health Centre, Manitoba Developmental Centre and the Provincial Nursing Stations.
